We Are Not Under The Old Testament Law

The below verses (and others not listed) show that we are not under the old testament as our law today. This is why we don't have to perform animal sacrifices, circumcision, keep the Sabbath, feast of trumpets, feast of tabernacles, operate under the Levitical priesthood, etc.. Christians today are under the new testament law which went into effect after the death of Jesus (Hebrews 9:15-17).Hebrews 8:8-9: For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt …Romans 7:4-7: Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead … But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.Galatians 3:19, 24-25: Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come … Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.Galatians 5:4: Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law, ye are fallen from grace.Ephesians 2:14-16: For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:Colossians 2:14-17: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.Hebrews 7:12: For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
