Divorce Is Wrong

Matthew 5:32 reads, “But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.”Notice Jesus says if a man divorces his wife for any reason other than fornication he sins. The divorce itself is sinful, and passages like Matthew 19:9 state any subsequent remarriage results is a second sin – adultery. The simple fact is, this verse rules out all causes for divorce, except for fornication.The following passages also teach that divorce/separation is wrong: I Corinthians 7:10, 3-5, Romans 7:2-3, I Peter 3:7.Most churches don’t care about this truth anymore, but God sure does! They are calling Jesus Lord, but not making him their Lord (ultimate boss).
