I Corinthians 14:34-35 versus Women Preachers
Recently we noticed how clearly John 3:16 refutes the false doctrinal theory of unconditional election. Another verse that is just as clear on a different subject is I Corinthians 14:34-35. It reads, Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. How could anybody miss the fact from that verse that God does not allow women to preach from the church’s pulpit? Is there anything ambiguous about the text? Or is it that the great majority of congregations decided long ago to quit following the Bible and instead do what they feel and think is right? And if they are willing to disregard God on this topic, think about what other topics they have also quit following God’s word on.
