Mark 16:16 And The Necessity Of Baptism
Mark 16:16 reads “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be condemned.” This verse is structured like the following example sentences where “and” connects two necessary conditions:● “He that eateth and digesteth his food shall live, but he that doesn’t eat shall die.” Everybody knows that makes both eating and digesting absolutely necessary to live.● “He that comes to the podium and shakes my hand shall receive $1000, but he that stays in his seat won’t get a dime.” All of us would know exactly what we would have to do in order to get the $1000.Why not the same when it comes to Mark 16:16 and salvation?Catholics teach - He that believeth not (an infant) and is baptized shall be saved.Denominational churches teach - He that believeth and is baptized not shall be saved.JESUS teaches - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.Who are you going to believe?
