Simple - Confession Comes After Belief, Therefore Salvation Is Not At The Point Of Belief
One is not saved until he confesses the Lord Jesus - according to Rom 10:9-10 (“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus ... with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”)Confession with the mouth comes after belief:· This is obvious, how could someone truthfully confess something they did not already believe?· The eunuch confessed after he believed - Acts 8:verse 35 Philip preached unto him Jesusverse 36 the eunuch obviously believed the preaching about Jesus and baptism, as he said, "what doth hinder me to be baptized?"verse 37 the eunuch then (after believing) confessed Christ with his mouth· Also read John 12:42-43 and see that confession obviously comes after belief.Since salvation cannot come before confession, and since confession comes after belief, then salvation must come after belief. The Baptist proposition that salvation comes at the point of faith is thereby disproved.
