Headship And God's Covering Requirement

I Corinthians 11:3-5a teaches that a woman ought to be covered when she prays or prophesies because of the order of HEADSHIP: But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head …Is man still the head of woman? Many of our more liberal brethren say no, male headship was just “cultural” (sound familiar?), so they allow women preachers, elders, etc.But since man is still the head of woman, and since the covering requirement is based upon the headship principle, then the Bible still says that if a woman prays to God uncovered, she dishonors her head (man). We can't just pick and choose what we want! - you can't have headship without the covering.
