Really – What WOULD Jesus Do? by Dylan Stewart
"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 1:5).
· Would Jesus forgive a sinner who does not repent, or would He forgive only the sinner who repents? (see Luke 17:3-4; 13:3-5).
· Would Jesus flippantly commit sin, or would He rather die than commit even one sin? (see Phil. 2:8; Matt. 16:25-26).
· Would Jesus tell an adulterer that he can remain in his sinful relationship, or would He tell him to “go and sin more?” (see John 8:3-4, 11; see also Matt. 5:32; 19:9).
· Would Jesus, in self-defense, fight back against a person inflicting harm on Him, or would He “turn the other cheek?” (see Matt. 5:39-40, 44; 1 Pet. 2:21-23; Isaiah 53:7).
· Would Jesus overlook sin by saying “no one is perfect,” or would He demand His people try every day to be perfect (i.e. try not to sin)? (see Matt. 5:48).
Whatever Jesus would do, we MUST also do, no matter how difficult! “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked” (1 John 2:6).
