Sinful Choices Impact More Than Just Yourself by Dylan Stewart

Sinful choices impact more than just yourself. Consider a few examples …

· When an employee doesn’t do the work his employer requires (Col. 3:22; Eph. 6:5-9), his fellow co-workers suffer, the employer suffers, the customer suffers, and God’s name suffers (1 Tim. 6:1).

· A family suffers immensely when the husband/father isn’t willing to work and provide (1 Tim. 5:8).

· Divorcing a spouse for a reason other than fornication leaves the divorced spouse alone, easily tempted by Satan (1 Cor. 7:3-5), and unable to remarry until the original spouse dies (Matt. 19:9; Rom. 7:2-3). If there are children, they face the consequences of a fractured family due to no fault of their own.

· When God allows us to prosper but we neglect to help those in need (Gal. 6:10), not only do we jeopardize our soul (Matt. 25:41-43), but those who are lacking don’t receive the help they desperately need.

Christians should never say “it’s my life, I can do what I want.” As we see, our lives and the choices we make greatly impact others. Make good choices – not only for the sake of yourself, but also others.
