Once Saved Always Saved vs. I John 1:9 and Acts 8:22

I John 1:9 reads, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.The limited atonement version of "Once Saved Always Saved" is made absurd by this verse:· if elect, he is forgiven even if he doesn’t confess· if not of the elect, he is not forgiven even if he does confessNotice also Acts 8:22 – Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.So a Christian must repent of and confess his sins in order to be forgiven of them.
