Does Luke 18:29-30 Allow For Divorce?

In spite of the fact that scriptures such as Matt 5:32, I Cor 7:10, and Matt 19:6 prove conclusively that divorce except for fornication is always a sin, preachers like Mike Willis will turn to Luke 18:29-30 to try to find authority for divorce for just about any reason as long as no remarriage follows. Here is how that text reads – “There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.”But this promise is not talking about a man who wants to leave his wife because of some perceived incompatibility (as Mike is contending for); instead it is talking about someone making a sacrifice for the Lord, a man having to leave his wife when he doesn’t want to. Specifically it is talking about a man who loves and wants to keep his wife, but the union is unscriptural/adulterous (per Matt 19:9), therefore he must make a sacrifice for God and leave his wife “for the kingdom of God’s sake” (not for his own sake). As everybody should know, committing sin (divorcing a wife unscripturally) is the very opposite of doing something for the kingdom of God’s sake.
